MasterChef Birthday Party

My 9 year old daughter requested a MasterChef theme birthday party this year. It was so much fun planning it and setting it up.

We had a great turn out; 15 girls. So we were able to make 3 teams of 5 for our various activities.  We started the party making pizza's. The girls had a choice of cheese, mushrooms, pepperoni and ham.

While the pizza's cooked, they built fruit kabobs and decorated cupcakes, which they took home.

Afterwards, we had a blind tasting. We divided the girls into 3 groups, red team, blue team and green team. Each team had all the same ingredients and the team who guessed the most right won the challenge.

The last challenge was the Mystery Box Challenge. Each team had a box full of ingredients with one mystery ingredient that must be used in every plate.

In the box there were Oreo cookies, Pound cake, Graham cracker crumbs, cream cheese, ice cream, butter, M&M's, sprinkles, and cool whip frosting.  There was a mystery ingredient that they all had to incorporate into the dessert; STIX chips, my daughter's favorite chip. They had 15 minutes to make 3 desserts for the judges.

Judges deliberated and picked a winning team. They seem to like the plating of the green team, but the Red team's dessert was tastier. The winner was the RED Team!!

The party was a huge success. All the girls had a great time and so did the parents. Each one took home a mixing bowl containing a whisk, spatula, rolling pin, kitchen towel, oven mitten, chef hat and apron. Along with the cupcake they decorated.

Some more pictures of the party.

  1. Thanks for sharing this information on birthday party. Few months ago, I arranged my sister’s birthday party by booking one of finest Venues in San Francisco. Bought few surprise gifts for her and she really enjoyed the party.
